This Wednesday I have nothing new on the needles, my Fallen Leaves Sweater is finished and ready for photography, my hat was done last weekend and I haven't cast anything on yet. I am at a bit of a loss for what to start next, I have plenty of design projects to work on, but they won't be ready until sometime next week. I am starting to smell some selfish knitting.
To complicate things a bit more I am leaving tomorrow morning for a huge and fun road trip, we are heading to Rhinebeck this weekend. To celebrate my mom's 60th and my sister's 30th we are going to New York. Starting tomorrow we are doing a mini-trip to Corning, New York (Jim and I went there last year on our honeymoon and loved it). Then onto Rhinebeck for a few days, then back up through Kingston and home. So lots of fun knitting time in the car and no work knitting to do? Sounds like selfish knitting time for me!
I'm bringing two projects, the first being a pair of simple top down socks out of caterpillargreen yarns classic stripes in spectrum the second being Itineris by Hilary Smith Callis in Tanis Fiber Arts Red Label in club colourway Smoke and OOAK Super Prism. Lots of yummy colourways and merino cashmere and silk to play with in both of these projects.
With heading out tomorrow morning I will be front loading quite a bit of blog content before I leave, so if something huge happens and my blog doesn't reference it that would be why.
Also, have you signed up for the newsletter yet? Make sure to on the home page because a nice treat might be emailed out in the next few days.
