It is an ultimate goal of mine to design something with each colourway, either a shawl, perhaps a sweater, sock, or in the case a collection of accessories. Spring has been very slow to arrive here in Northern Ontario this year so I was desperate to work with something in a fun spring colourway and also design something that would make this long dreary lingering winter more bearable. The McKellar Honey Collection was just the right fit.

This collection didn't come from a place of great need or pressing inspiration. I simply wanted some fingerless mitts and felt like working with the soft yellow of McKellar Honey in the untreated BFL of Hennessy DK. It was an obvious move to work with a honeycomb cable. The end result is soft, squishy, warm and delightful.
These mitts feature an all-over honeycomb pattern worked both in the round and flat to create a thumb hole. Available in three sizes they are perfect for crisp spring morning walks or chilly fall afternoons.
The McKellar Honey Hat features a honeycomb panel and can be knit in either a beanie style or slouch hat depending on your preferred hat style.
