At this point I'm sure you have all enjoyed the beauty of Tanis Fiber Arts - both her yarns and her incredibly inspiring blog. She has had a Monday blog meme that in my opinion is absolutely awesome, Mood Board Monday. I tried to avoid it, not wanting to be a copycat, but all the great blog memes come from one persons idea and spread from others using it as well, I wonder who posted the very first WIP Wednesday!
So this week, I am featuring one of my very first colours, Rose Point Aster.
With a grey undertone, this sophisticated purple will look great long after the asters fade into the fall.
Rose Point has long been a departure point for the Booth Railroad which ran from Depot Harbour on Parry Island to Ottawa. Today, the old rail bed has been converted to a multi-use trail, which passes is flanked by wetlands, forest and wildflower meadows. One of the many beauties along the trail is the aster, which is native to the region and has the most beautiful purple bloom.
Though the colour inspiration comes late in the summer this colour is everywhere at this time of year and is great for spring into summer lightweight knitting projects.
Take 15% off any in stock or dyed to order Rose Point Aster until end of the day Thursday with code aster0516 - see our website here.
Have a great Monday and hopefully grab yourself some purple yarn for your next project.
