Bala, a tiny town on the shores of Lake Muskoka, is home to some of the finest cranberries in Canada. Home to two cranberry marshes, this town attracts thousands of visitors each year for its three-day Cranberry Festival, now over 30 years old. The native red berries are an iconic part of this small Muskoka town. The cranberries great colour and tartness are the inspiration for this yarn.
