There many invisible lines that separate northern Ontario from southern Ontario, and one of them is the difference between camps and cottages. Families that come from north of Britt generally calls these retreats camps, while south of Britt they are cottages. Britt was originally a sawmill village, located on Byng Inlet, however the lumber industry hit its peak in the early 1900s and today it is better known as an access point into Georgian Bay.
